Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education or related field preferred.
  • Licensure:  BCBA or COBA preferred.
  • Will consider candidates in pursuit of BCBA coursework under the supervision of a BCBA or COBA.

    • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate competence in utilizing Agency computer systems and software as required to perform essential job functions.
    • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder: Understands key characteristics of Autism Spectrum disorder and applies knowledge when engaging, prompting, and supervising clients.
    • Service Delivery: Comprehends basic client behavior functions, accurately collects client-related data, and demonstrates application of client goals via ISPs and client programming.
    • Cultural Competency: Demonstrates awareness, sensitivity and skills in working professionally with diverse individuals, groups and communities who represent various cultural and personal background and characteristics.                  
  • Experience: Experience working with individuals with autism.
  • Preferred that individuals possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the Agency’s insurance company. Must be approved by Lifeworks to transport clients in own vehicle

Agency Summary:

Lifeworks is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that individuals with autism lead healthy and enriched lives by providing essential clinical services across the lifespan. Founded in 2013, Lifeworks provides residential, vocational, and educational opportunities for adults throughout Northeast Ohio with a diagnosis of autism. Among its array of services, the agency offers behavioral health and Applied Behavior Analytic services for individuals of all ages who are on the spectrum.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Clinical Coordinator is a management position within the Monarch Adult Autism Program that works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Coordinator. She or he is part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals who are expected to provide the highest caliber of care and support for consumers in their day programming. The Assistant Clinical Coordinator is jointly responsible for ensuring program adherence to the Monarch Model and accompanying principles. She or he manages assessment procedures and goal development for a case load of consumers within the program. The Assistant Clinical Coordinator produces monthly ISP and BSP reports, updates data collections procedures, goal sheets, ISP and BSP trainings/forms and creates supplemental teaching materials and visuals. She or he assists with responsibility for ongoing training, supervision, retention and engagement of staff on the floor and in supervision. The Assistant Clinical Coordinator is jointly responsible for ensuring the fulfillment of the program’s mission, which is to help adults with autism live more independent lives and participate in the world of work. She or he is jointly responsible for program compliance with accreditation and state regulations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Utilize an evidenced-based preference assessment to determine consumer preference in a variety of vocational areas and experiences.
  • Utilize evidenced-based assessment and direct observation to generate appropriate, meaningful and measureable ISP goals for consumers.
  • Experience in designing and implementing applied behavior analysis programs, conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.
  • Ability to employ scientifically-validated behavior analytic teaching procedures within skill building programs.
  • Provide behavior analytic interpretations of assessment results, design and supervise implementation of behavior analytic interventions.
  • Set and achieve performance goals with consumers and the treatment team.
  • Provide staff training and modeling through direct instruction and push-in sessions on the floor.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgement in the management of consumer services and supervision of the treatment team.
  • Prepare and review monthly progress reports in which daily data is summarized, visual representations are presented and further treatment planning occurs.
  • Prepare supplemental teaching materials.
  • Prepare for and attend consumer meetings.
  • Collaboration with the Clinical Coordinator in sister program(s) on shared cases, training, the Monarch Model and system modification and improvement.
  • All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Respect the privacy of consumers and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
